Body piercing query (nipple)?

Most piercing studios say you should be getting pierced with a bar if you get your nipple(s) done as that's best for healing but has anyone who has this piercing been pierced with a ring or "BCR" as I think it's called?
I hope to get it done soon.
had mine done with a ring 2 years ago, i had no problems. just remember to follow the after care,you can never clean to much keep twisting the ring daily, most importantly check out the outlet your having the piercing done at. i didn't feel the ring going in,my nipple was numbed with a freeze spray. it may b slightly uncomfortable 4 a few days though. good luck

when i got mine done i got a ring, it wasn't too difficult to keep clean but i'm sure if i had a bar it would've been easier.
ps…it was the worst best pain ever!!! lol!!! you'll love it.

I've had my nipples pierced for 15 years and they were rings put in and there is still rings in them (diffrent ones). No problem so far.

Got mine done with a bar that was a little too big to allow for swelling. Then when healed, i easily changed it to a ring. Personally, i would get pierced with a bar, cause the transfer (from needle to jewelery) is smoother than a ring.
