Any good body piercing studios in Camden, which pierce lips of under 16s?
After having thoroughly thought it through, I have decided that I want my lip pierced (with a ring). However, I cannot get this done legally as I am under 16 (and I will not have a parent present), so I was wondering if there were any good piercing studios in Camden that pierce lips for under 16s? Or ones that do not properly check IDs, or do not mind accepting passport photocopies?
Also, any tips for convincing them that I am of legal age?
(Please do not answer this question unless you are actually planning on a serious answer. Responses such as "ask your mother" or "wait until you're old enough," are not helpful but just damn patronising. Thank you.)
You won't find a 'good' studio that pierces without ID unfortunately. If you're willing to take the risk go to a less reputable salon that's up to you. If you're determined to get it done see if you can convince another adult to go with you, they might be willing to sign the forms for you! It's what i'd try!
My stepbrothers 14 and got his done a few weeks back in Camden. Im not sure what its called, but its a small shop with a black logo and its pretty dark inside. They didnt even ask him for ID.
Good luck babe x

erm is that like near camden market or whatever. Most piercing shops dont ask for ID if you atleast look over 16, but i spose all piercing shops vary. I don't know of any in the camden area but i know theres a good piercing shop that dont ask for ID in brighton.

I'm not going to do the whole "ask you mother" but I wouldn't advise getting your lip done at Camden. I'm not being all old-fashioned and prejudiced, bad mouthing Camden. I love it there, and live real close, but like it or not the piercing places there have a bad reputation.
If you want to have your lip pierced, fine. It's YOUR body, no one elses. But please, just get it done somewhere with a good reputation.

I have done all my piercings myself, and it has worked out fine.
I know that most piercing artist frown upon this, but they also have the age regulations, and if you plan to brake one rule you can probably brake one more…
If you don't have the nerve to do it to yourself you can ask a friend with a steady hand.
Just have to be really careful about hygiene, but you can find tons of stuff on how to do it properly on the internet. Also be sure to not be allergic to the material of either the syringe or the ring…
Good luck!

If you're thinking of Camden, London, then yay I live there!!
Umm, you can photocopy your passport and with photoshop or even paint, you can change your year…it's not like anyone will actually go check it…at least I hope not.
I doubt there is, however my friend (who is like very outgoing) says there is doubt there are any in camden. I suggest the passport idea, personally ^.^.
Apparently near Camden Market, the green one, theres a tattoo parlour or summant like that. As you pass shops, theres a flight of stairs, walls are in white, kinda hard to miss.

do you have permission from your mum? and if not, is it really worth all the grief afterwards?!
if you risk going to a place that doesnt ask for id and check your old enough, then you are also risking a dodgy piercing and an unclean environment, meaning lots of nice infections in your lip.

The best piercing studio in Camden by far is Coldsteel. Very clean, professional and their customer service is excellent, even if you didn't get your piercing done by them and still went along for advice. I'd stick to a reputable piercer like this one to minimise the chances of there being an infection to your piercing, which can be caused by an unhygenic studio and the piercer not practicing the correct sterilization techniques. I'm not sure what they accept in terms of ID, but I would advise that you take along an adult (parent of a friend perhaps?) to a reputable studio. Trust me, you will not like it if you went to some dodgy piercing place and your piercing goes wrong in a few weeks' time. Best to be on the safe side.
