Your moms younger brother, I'm guessing that's your uncle .....

" He told me that I shouldn't go and ruin my pretty face, which is BEYOND stupid because I think that was being stereotypical. "

Body peircings are ok. Just don't get a nose hoop piercing, those are ugly, but then again ... it's your body, you can do what you want.

Take a look at this: http://img237.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hoopnosepiercingsre5.png

I hope you don't get those nose hoops, and then decide to go for the lips ~hahaa

Your mom is just being a mother, your views of life will always be different than hers.
If you don't remember, there was a time when your mother picked your clothes out, and basically your preferences, ya know ? ~lol

I'm not siding with your mom, but she still wants you to be the little girl you were between 3 & 12 ( there's no way you would of thought of such a thing at that age ~hahaa )

Forgiveness is better than permission.

She won't be mad at you forever, you should get your nose pierced. Just a small stud though, those are kind of cute.

Get your belly done too, but no more piercing on your face, ok ?
References :
I personally don't get what the big hype is. I don't have any piercings on my body (ears were pierced when i was a baby, i hardly wear earrings) I don't wear any piercings and jewelery because i mostly played sports as a kid and teen so i wasn't allowed to wear it during practice and games and you get used to not wearing it, let alone it being a huge deal. OMG it sparkles doesn't amaze me.

If a person wants to get piercings i think that's just their taste and opinion. Sometimes i think people go to far and they just look ridiculous. If you want to get piercings that is your choice and you can do so when your able. You might change your mind who nose. I don't get why you want your nose to twinkle and your belly to glitter when for one your belly is one that wont be seen unless your going to school in a bra or bikini (ew) but if you like it, you like it.

As for the fear of needle, i have that, but it never stopped me from getting shots and stuff (even tho i fear them and get them anyway) I think your mother is just taking control in the way she knows how, and when your an adult in her eyes maybe she will be less controlling. Or get over it. Getting it to spite her isnt getting it to spite her, its just going to piss her off at the moment and then she will get over it, its not like she will go her whole life hating you for a stupid piercing.

You can just tell her the truth. "I will be getting the piercings whether its now, or 5 years from now, and there isn't anything you can do about it, only time will change my mind if i decide not to get them, otherwise your not me and ill be adult enough to make all my own choices."
References :
The End

There's nothing wrong with body piercings. i know alot of parents, traditional and non traditional, that are against piercings just because they believe it is against standards and against whats natural to have your skin pierced to have metal hang from it. Mine are somewhat traditional, yet ive been pierced a few times and love it. its just a generational difference, in their time it wasnt in as much as now so to them what looks weird, to us is perfect normal and acceptable. i became quite a piercaholic just because it was awesome to have a new thing added to you whether it be naval or simply a lobe piercing. it let me express myself. for myself, i didnt want too many just because thats not how i present myself, so i preferred to get a few that i was sure would still make me look somewhat chique. it also depends on what jewelry you choose, they have soo many choices, maybe some smaller ones might flow well with your mom. i chose a theme of diamond studs for all of mine even tho now ive been changing up the scheme to more colorful things for summer. your choice of piercings all depends on how you want to present and express yourself, i think theyre awesome!
References :
belly piercing... 2 in each lobe... right tragus... left cartilage

A nose piercing is nice if it is subtle with a small stud
l have my belly pierced and I think it makes me look hot so I say go for it. It only stings briefly but it is worth it.
There is no way I would have my tongue pierced . That just hurts thinking about it
Try and show your mom in a nice way that it will add a nice touch to your appearence and maybe she will lighten up
References :
Okay, first off, DO NOT DO IT TO SPITE HER! You want to do it for you, not to piss her off. Seriously, it would be a waste of your time, pain, and money if you did that.

Second, I can see where your mom is coming from. I know it sucks, but she does have a point that you're not 18, therefore she has to give you permission to get it done. My mom did the same thing to me and 5 days after my 18th birthday, I went and got my tragus pierced. She hates it, but I don't and I'm 18, so what does it matter?

Getting pierced is something that is a lot of fun, and sometimes way painful. Yeah, getting your nose pierced and your belly button pierced sounds like fun in for the summer cause you're gonna be wearing a bikini and all this and that, but when you think about it, summer is a really bad time to do any type of body modification. I got my rook pierced like 2 weeks ago, and because of this, I'm not supposed to go swimming for at least three months because it is a brand new "wound" and it can cause infection. Even if a piercing doesn't hurt and you think its all healed, something can happen and that can change in an instant. Chlorine can seriously irritate piercings because of what it is. When you open your eyes in a pool, they become red eventually... Really red. Imagine that happening in your belly button piercing or in your nose piercing. It doesn't sound like fun to me. Also, you're not supposed to wear tight, restrictive clothing on a new belly button piercing, and personally, I wear a lot of that in the summer, and less of it in the colder months.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that your mom might be being irrational, but just wait a few more months, and you can do it without her. She will hate it and will most likely bitch to you about it all the time, but when you're 18, she can't make you take it out or make you not do it. Just be patient and you'll be able to get it eventually. Not right now, but the time will come.
