I want to start professional body piercing.?

Im going to buy a beginner’s piercing kit just to start learning, etc.
How do I practice? Is there a type of material I can use to practice my piercing besides on real people?

Anyways, after I do get pretty good at it, I want to become licensed for it. (become a professional)
What do I do? Where do I get my papers, how old do i need to be, etc.

Please let me know all the info you know. (:
Thanks!
Well then, anyone please just tell me exactly what I need to do to start piercing professionally?

It’s good to practice piercing before doing it for real, but it won’t get you closer to a piercer’s degree, the professional certification of piercer’s skill required by most jurisdictions to become a professional body piercer. Go to a piercer’s school. They will give you all of the practice you need, and you’ll actually be working towards a career.

Most of these schools do require that you are 18 before signing up, but some may allow people as young as 16. The school will provide you with all of the papers you require. Basically, complete piercer’s school, and apply for a job at a shop. Simple as that.

That’s not how you do that. You need to become an apprentice. You don’t just start poking holes in things to learn, there’s anatomy to it, there’s biology to it.

Licensing procedure differs from state to state.
