Pierced Nipples: Been 2 Months can I change Jewelry?
Currently got bog standard Surgical steel Barbells, bought Black Conebell Barbells, wondering if It will be cool to switch, Don’t want them to miraculously heal within 10 seconds, Just don’t think I can wait any longer…Getting impatient!
Also what do you think of them?> Me likes!

It takes 8 months to a year for your nipples to be completely healed after getting pierced. If you feel comfortable changing them out now you shouldn’t have a problem, but you should definitely make sure that you’ve got everything prepped and ready because your holes WILL try to close and the quicker you can switch them out…the better. You should take one out and put the new jewelry in and then do the other one the same way, I think that taking them both out at the same time is going to increase the chances that you can’t get them back in.
I’m not exactly sure what kind of material those black barbells are made out of but I do know that sometimes black can irritate new piercings. If you really want to have the look of the balls and they’re the same type as the ones you have in now, just change the balls. What I mean by this is if your current balls are internally threaded and so are the conical balls on your new jewelry, you can switch them out. Same goes for if both are externally threaded. (internally threaded will have the threads on the balls, externally threaded will have the threads on the barbell)
You could always go to a piercing studio to get your jewelry changed, which would be advisable if you are having a hard time getting your current jewelry to unscrew. They’ll help you change it for free.
Body piercing removal?
I’m having surgery and I need to remove my Body Piercing. It is a hoop with a ball. I tried twisting the ball but it doesn’t come off. A friend told me to get thin pliers and pry the ring open and the ball should fall off. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? Any different ideas on how to get it out myself without going back to the piercer? Thanks!
You have to open both sides of your ring and the ball will fall out (the ball has two dimples on each size to hold in under the pressure) A scissor can help open the ring, but it;s best if you have a latex glove on to tighten the grip. Your piercer should also open it for you for free, and you might also want to look for a retainer to wear during the surgery if you’re afraid the hole will close up fast.
Does anyone know of any body piercing courses around the West suburbs of Chicago?
I want to take the necessary training and courses towards receiving my Body Piercing license in Illinois. Does anyone know where I could go in the West suburbs area of Chicago land?
